About the Role
We're looking for a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join our growing team at Geotechnical Engineering Solutions. You'll work with soil analysis, foundation design, and geotechnical investigations to ensure project success and excellence.
As a Senior Geotechnical Engineer, you'll be responsible for leading geotechnical initiatives, mentoring junior engineers, and collaborating with our field and laboratory teams to deliver high-quality, innovative solutions.
What You'll Do
- Conduct geotechnical investigations and soil analysis on construction projects
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure compliance
- Write detailed inspection reports and maintain accurate documentation
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct quality reviews
- Optimize inspection processes for maximum efficiency and accuracy
- Stay up-to-date with the latest geotechnical codes and engineering best practices
- Participate in project planning and quality assurance processes
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in geotechnical engineering and construction engineering
- Strong proficiency in geotechnical standards, soil testing, and quality control
- Experience with concrete testing, soil analysis, and material inspections
- Knowledge of ASTM standards and building code compliance
- Experience with inspection documentation and reporting systems
- Familiarity with construction project management and scheduling
- Strong understanding of construction materials and methods
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Nice to Have
- Experience with advanced geotechnical testing equipment and methods
- Knowledge of seismic and wind load inspections
- Experience with fire resistance and life safety inspections
- Familiarity with green building and sustainability standards
- Previous experience in large-scale construction projects
- Professional engineering license (PE) or geotechnical engineering certifications
